Friends Discography (Digital Underground, Y?-N-Vee, Evil Mind Gangsta's...)

A man never walks alone.

It is obvious that it is impossible in this world to accomplish anything alone, even when we are called Tupac Shakur. Without the help of an entourage, the luck of meeting the right people... The success by the individualism, the self made man, this is a just modern myth.

Maybe you could understand somebody more deeply when you look at his friends, at his co-workers, at his influences...

Pac's rap friends

Digital Underground : Shock G, DJ Chopmaster J (Strictly Dope), Money B & DJ Fuze (Raw Fusion)...

Of course, Digital Underground. Without them, maybe 2Pac wouldn't be 2Pac... But if, if... Anyway, Digital Underground is a real beautiful funk/hip-hop group. The right fusion between George Clinton's Funkadelik and the Hip-Hop. Pac first met Chopmaster J when he teamed with Striclty Dope. Then the DJ presented them to Shock G. Shock G invited them to tour with the group and so 2Pac wrote verses for "Same Song". 2Pac stayed connected with Shock G and Digital Underground - doing features or productions - until he signed in on Death Row. Shock G was working at remixing some old tracks for him in order to publish a compilation (firstly named R U Still Down, whose eponymous track is produced by Shock G himself), while he was in jail.

  • Digital Underground - 1990, Sex Packets (Tommy Boy)
For sure, the first jewel from Digital Underground - but without Tupac... But the other albums are very good too.
  • Digital Underground - 1991, This is a EP Release (Tommy Boy) - First well known appearence of 2Pac on "Same Song".
  • Digital Underground - 1991, Sons Of The P (Tommy Boy) 2Pac on "The DFLO Shuttle" ; Stretch on "Family of the Underground"
  • Raw Fusion (Money B & DJ Fuze) - 1991, Live From The Styleetron (Hollywood Basic) - with 2Pac on "#1 with a Bullet"
  • Digital Underground - 1993- The Body-Hat Syndrome (Tommy Boy) - Last album with 2Pac on "Wussup With The Luv" ; also with Saafir on many tracks
  • Digital Underground - 1996, Future Rhythm (Radikal Records) - with the Luniz, Saafir, Del the Funky Homosapien
  • Digital Underground - 1998, Who Got The Gravy (Interscope) - with KRS-One, Big Pun, Biz Markie...
  • Shock G - 2004, Fear of a Mixed Planet (33rd Street Records) - with Ray Luv (from Strictly Dope), DJ Q-Bert, Luniz

Ryan D & 51.50 Illegally Insane

2Pac & Ryan D formed in Marin City the early group One Nation Emcees (Is it reminding you of something ?) around 1989. The freestyle "U Don't Wanna Battle (I Thought U Know)" is relatively well-known. When 2Pac went firstly with Strictly Dope and with Digital Underground, and then as solo. Ryan D formed his own group called 51.50 Illegally Insane with his friends from Marin City.

  • 51.50 Illegally Insane, Games People Play (1992, ARRogant Records)
- This album sounds like the first tracks from Ryan D & MC New York (aka 2Pac), more like Digital Underground. We can hear exerpts of songs from 2Pac or Digital Underground. Maybe it could give us the intuition of what could have been a good Tupac but more... introvert.

Ray Luv

2Pac and Ray "Tyson" Luv formed the group Strictly Dope. Ray Luv appears in the late 94 song "Amerikka Eatz Itz Young/Gotta Survive" that was supposed to be in the first version of MATW.

  • Ray Luv, Who Can Be Trusted ? (1992, Strictly Business)

- This album sounds more like 2Pacalypse Now or of course Strictly Dope. Ray Luv being more "thug".

Dave Hollister (Force One Network & Blackstreet)

Dave Hollister aka Black Angel made a lot of songs for 2Pac : the super hits "Brenda's got a baby" and "Keep ya head up", among other. He was also a member of the group Force One Network (with Chopmaster J of Digital Underground), who is announced as a featured group for the early 2Pac's song : "Static" (1990-1991) - but Dave is not singing in it, Willi Mac produced the song and maybe it features some close people like Julian Brooks or Cooley Ranks... He stopped to sing for Tupac at the same time he left Force One Network for Blackstreet (around 94).

  • Force One Network - 1992, The M M E Program 1 (Qwest Records) - produced by Chopmaster J from the Digital Underground.
  • Blackstreet - 1994, Blackstreet (Interscope)
  • Blackstreet - 1996, Another Level (Interscope) - with the famous "No Diggity", did Dr. Dre steal the music from 2Pac (original "Toss It Up") to give it to the Blackstreet ? He already did it when he took back "Can't C Me" from Dogg Pound to give it to 2Pac...
  • Dave Hollister - 1999, Ghetto Hymns (Dreamworks Records) - co-produced by Erick Sermon !

Stretch & Live Squad

Stretch was the best friend of 2Pac before the 94 shooting. He & his brother Majesty come from the Queens. They first appeared in BQ In Full Effect (1988, Gotham City Records), compilation released with Percee P. They released a lot of tracks for Pac and with him. But they also had their own (discret) career. Discret especially because, like for Thug Life, their records were too violent and have been shelved for a long time by Tommy Boy. They recorded in 1992 a musical movie called "Game of Survival" (15'). Like for Pac & Big Syke, the contrast between Stretch's strong, hardcore voice and the clearer one of 2Pac use to make a good effect.

  • Live Squad - 1992, Murderahh / Heartless (Tommy Boy)
  • Live Squad - 1993, Game of Survival / Pump for a Livin' (Tommy Boy) - The few official 12'' released.
  • Live Squad - 1993, Game of Survival (CD + DVD) (2001, Grand Imperial)
- "The Original Full Album Version Was Canceled By Tommy Boy Records Because Of To Hardcore Lyrics. This One Here Is NOT The Original Full Album, It Has Many Skits And Songs Aren't Complete." - Still a VERY GOOD taste of what the album could have been.

Big Syke, Johnny J & Evil Mind Gangsta's

Big Syke and Johnny J had a life before Thug Life !! This first group was fully produced by Big Syke, Charlie Mac and of course Johnny J !!!

  • Evil Mind Gangsta's -1993- All Hell Breakin' Loose (Organized)
- A really good album.
  • Johnny J - 1994, I Gotta Be Me (Solar / Epic) - with appearence of Big Syke and Y?N-Vee.
  • Big Syke -1996, Be Yo' Self (Parole, RideOnUm)

Prince Ital Joe & Marky Mark (Wahlberg !!)

On "Thug Life", "Hit Em Up", "What's Next", "Street Life", "Hail Mary", "Blasphemy". He is also on various tracks from the Dogg Pound. Prince Ital Joe was a very well-known figure in the times. His ragga/hip-hop group with Marky Mark Wahlberg rapping had a huge popular success.

  • Prince Ital Joe & Marky Mark - 1994, Life In The Streets (Ultraphonic)
  • Prince Ital Joe - 1997, Prince Ital Joe (Death Row, originally Promo) - It is now possible to hear this recently leaked, recorded during his time with 2Pac, Snoop & Dogg Pound at Death Row.
  • Prince Ital Joe - 1998, Reggae Universe (Strong Hold)

Natasha Walker & Y?N-Vee (Y.N.V.)

The main singer of Thug Life. She is also the famous singer of "Lord Knows" and "Chek Out Time". She made many other songs with 2Pac. She was a member of Y?N-Vee, an hip-hop/r&b combo. Y?N-Vee are : Natasha Walker aka Sonshine, Vayne, Yesz & Nic Nam. The Y?N-Vee was the New Swing weapon number one from Rush Associated before they found Montell Jordan.

  • Y?N-Vee - 1994, Y?N-Vee (Rush Associated Labels)

- produced by Doug Rasheeed (producer of Coolio's "Gangsta Paradise" and 2Pac's "Only God can judge me". And by hearing to "Even When U Sleep", "Real G" & "Gangsta's Prayer", you can recognize the woman rapping who is on "The Uppercut" OG. It's not Vayne because another voice says this name on another rapped verse on "Real G". I think it is Yesz because she's saying this name with style many times.
- A good thug/R&B/Hip-Hop album.

Nutt-So & StreeTThugs

Before being a good friend of 2Pac, collaborating on a lot of 2Pac tracks, and almost a new Outlawz member, the brother of Keysha Cole - girlfriend of 2Pac - was part of an underground hit album with his group StreeTThugs.

Street Thugs - 1994, Not To Be Fucked With (Snake Pit, Wiged Out))

Nutt-So - 1996, Betrayal (Nutty's Playhouse) - contains "Wordz to my first Born".

Richie Rich & 415

Before being a regular collaborator of 2Pac (appeared oh his side in 92 with The Govenor, was in MATW, in AEOM...), Richie Rich and his group 415 (with DJ Daryl as a producer) were the main inspiration for the young Snoop Dogg.

  • 415 - 1988, 41 Fivin' (Big League, Priority)
The same cartoon trip as Snoop. 415 like 213...Partially produced by DJ Daryl.
  • Richie Rich - 1990, Don't Do It (Big League) You can recognize the same nonchalance in the flow. Just lack the dog's trip.
  • Richie Rich - 1996, 1/2 (Half Thang) (Shot Records)
  • Richie Rich - 1996, Seasoned Veteran (Def Jam)

The Govenor

2Pac wrote and sang the beautiful "Po' Nigga Blues" for helping him. So who was The Gov' ? A good friend of Richie Rich and 2Pac.

  • The Govenor - 1992, Govenor's Taxin' (Handle Bar) - contains "Gafled like that" with 2Pac & Richie Rich.
  • The Govenor & The House Reps - 1995, Floss Mode (Handle Bar) - contains the Govenor's version of "Po' Nigga Blues" with backing by 2Pac.

Spice 1

Like Richie Rich, Spice 1 was one of the most constant collaborator of 2Pac : from "Let Them Thangs Go" in 1992 to "Fortune and Fame" in 1996, Spice 1 has often collaborated with 2Pac (7 tracks at all).

  • 187 Proof -1991, Dope Like A Pound Or  Key (Wax That Azz) - under his first alias "187 Proof".
  • Spice 1 - 1992, Spice 1 (Jive)
  • Spice 1 - 1993, 187 He Wrote (Jive)
 - For sure, the most solid album from Spice 1. With MC Eiht, Ant Banks, E-40, Sout Central Cartel & Bo$$... produced by Too $hort, E-A-Ski...
  • Spice 1 - 1994, AmeriKKKa's Nightmare (Jive) - with "Jealous get me strapped" with 2Pac
  • Spice 1 - 1995, 1990-Sick (Jive)

Treach & Naughty By Nature

Treach is on two 2Pac tracks and a freestyle "5 Deadly Venoms" and a freestyle in studio, "Loyal To The Game" from Regulate single. Useless to say that his group was absolutely famous at that time... But we can say that we heard - again - somewhere that 2Pac & Treach were very good friends. Naughty By Nature were first known as The New Style in the Queen Latifah & 45 King's Flavor Unit.

  • The New Style - 1989, Independant Leaders (Bon Ami / MCA)
- The first less-known album from the group with the alias "The New Style".
  • Naughty By Nature - 1991, Naughty By Nature (Tommy Boy)
  • Naughty By Nature - 1993, 19 Naughty III (Tommy Boy)
  • Naughty By Nature - 1995, Poverty's Paradise (Tommy Boy)
  • Naughty By Nature - 1999- Nineteen Naughty Nine (Nature's Fury) (Arista)

MC Breed

2Pac made one of his first big hit with MC Breed with "Gotta Get Mine". They collaborate 4 times at all.

  • MC Breed - 1993, The New Breed (Wrap)
- Produced by Warren G, The D.O.C. !! with "Gotta Get Mine" and "Comin' Real Again" with 2Pac speaking.
  • MC Breed - 1994, Funkafied (Wrap) - featuring George Clinton and the D.O.C.

Bo$$ (aka Dee Tha Mad Bitch)

DJ Quik's protegé. Bo$$ appears on the first AMG's album. She also appears on two songs recorded with 2Pac in 1993 : "Judgement Time" and "Real Bad Boys".

  • Bo$$ -1993, Born Gangstaz (Dj West, Columbia) - A real good album produced by DJ Quik

Gonzoe & Kausion

When Gonzoe appeared in "This Life I Lead" and "Um Dumpin' (Die)", he had dropped one year ago one of the best album of the underground, signed on the Ice Cube's label.

  • Kausion - 1995, South Central Los Skanless (Lench Mob) - with Ice Cube, Mack 10, B-Real, Crazy Toones on the scratches, Nancy Fletcher and Natasha Walker of Y?N-Vee !!!
  • Gonzoe - 1998, If I Live and Nothing Happens (Menes) - with the Otlawz, Prince Ital Joe, Yukmouth.

O.F.T.B. (Operation From The Bottom)

After a first good album in the underground, they made the enormous hit "Crack 'em" on Above The Rim OST (1994, Death Row). But inside the label, they struggled to exist and they published their Death Row album only in 2009... They recorded three songs with 2Pac : "The Struggle Continues", "Better Dayz" and "Time After Time". "Watts" in the title of the first album says that they were members of the famous gang Grape Street Watts Crips.

  • OFTB - 1992, Straight Up Watts (Big Beat)
- beautiful cover.
  • OFTB - 1996-1997, The Missing D.R. Files (2007, self-released) - contains "Better Dayz" and "Time After Time", also features the Outlawz, Snoop, Kurupt, Johnny J and Jewell.

Boot Camp Clik (Buckshot, Smif N Wessun aka Cocoa Brovaz, Sean Price, etc.)

Buckshot from Black Moon, Tek and Steele (aka The Cocoa Brovaz) have been specially invited by 2Pac, and from their good feeling together had been born the project of One Nation. It's useless to say that the members of the Boot Camp Clik are very well known in the Hip-Hop. For instance, they keep on recording at the D&D studio, one of the most mythic one. Evil D & The Beatminerz are among the main producers of the collective. Their label Duck Down still exists since 1993 and is still very competitive (notably all the albums from Sean Price... some from Kidz in the Hall, Murs, Statik Selektah, Pharoahe Monch...).

  • Black Moon -1993- Enta Da Stage (Duck Down, Wreck) - the huge classic from the Brooklyn group
  • Black Moon -1996- Diggin' In Dah Vaults (Duck Down, Nervous)
  • Black Moon -1999- War Zone (Duck Down, Priority, 2006)
  • Black Moon -2003- Total Eclipse (Duck Down)
  • Buckshot & 9th Wonder -2005- Chemistry (Duck Down)
  • Buckshot & 9th Wonder -2008- The Formula (Duck Down)
  • Buckshot & KRS-One -2009- Survival Skills (Duck Down)
  • Smif-N-Wessun -1995- Da Shinin' (Duck Down, Wreck)
  • Cocoa Brovaz -1998- The Rude Awakening (Duck Down, Priority)
  • Smif-N-Wessun -2002- Unreleased Rawkus Album (Rawkus)

  • Boot Camp Clik -1997- For The People (Duck Down, Priority)
  • Boot Camp Clik -2002- The Chosen Few (Duck Down)
  • Boot Camp Clik -2006- The Last Stand (Duck Down)
  • Boot Camp Clik -2007- Casualties of War (Duck Down)

Greg Nice from Nice & Smooth

Nice & Smooth was a good duo from the golden era.  Greg Nice started as human beat box for T La Rock. They then appeared on the Big Daddy Kane's album It's a Big Daddy Thing (1989, Cold Chillin'). 2Pac wanted to sign Greg Nice on his new label Makaveli records.

  • Nice & Smooth -1989- Nice & Smooth (Fresh, Sleeping Bag)
  • Nice & Smooth -1991- Ain't A Damn Thing Changed (Rush Associated Label)
- with the huge hit "Sometimes I rhyme slow..." also with Guru and Asu.
  • Nice & Smooth -1994- Jewel Of The Nile (Rush Associated Label) - with Slick Rick, Everlast and Showbiz
  • Nice & Smooth -1997- IV Blazing Hot (Scotti Brothers) - also produced by DJ Premier, Kid Capri and Easy Mo Bee.

Asu & Capital LS

We have to say that they are particularly unknown... Maybe they came as Greg Nice's friends.

K-Ci & Jojo (Jodeci)

They have made only 3 songs with 2Pac ("All About U", "Toss It Up" and "Thug N Me [version II]"), but not the less. And I think they are interesting to understand what kind of New Jack feeling 2Pac usually wants for his chorus. After their second album, the group was not happy from their contract with Uptown and thought to sign in on Death Row.

  • Jodeci - 1991, Forever My Lady (Uptown / MCA) - A superb album
  • Jodeci - 1993, Diary of a Mad Band (Uptown / MCA)
- a good example of New Jack/Hip-Hp. With Redman, Missy Elliott & Timbaland (one of their first appearance)
  • Jodeci - 1995, The Show, The After-Party, The Hotel (Uptown / MCA)
  • K-Ci & Jojo - 1996, Love Always (MCA)

Julian Brooks under the moniker of Wicked J seems to have made two songs with 2Pac : "Static [raggamuffin mix]" and "Fade Away". He also sings in Funky Aztecs album in 92 and was also the main part of the group Mod Squad that recorded a really nice album in 92 for TNT records (like Gold Money, Digital Underground, Funky Aztecs and 2Pac) :

The female rappers

2Pac always helped the women who were rapping (but in fact, he seemed to always being helping everybody except his enemies... and he always loved all the women...).

  • Is the Deb-E on "Funky Freestyles" and "Break Em Off" in 1991, the Debbie Pryce aka "MC Remedee" from The Cookie Crew ??? It could be because she sounds like... With Susie Q, they were a really good rap group from UK. They released two albums : Born This Way (1989, FFRR) very good album produced by Daddy-O, Fade To Black (1991, FFRR) - with DJ Premier, Daddy-O, Black Sheep, Roy Ayers... !!
  • Bo$$ (aka Dee Tha Madd Bytch), DJ Quik protegé, is featured two times with 2Pac in 93 ("Judgement Time", "Real Bad Boys")
  • Yanni from Thug Life - 2Pac wrote and recorded "Fake Ass Bitches" for her. But you can find Yanni's version with 2Pac backing and speaking at the end. You can also find a short "Thug Bitch".
  • Yesz from Y?N-Vee on "The Uppercut OG", often believed to be Yanni or Sister Soulja.
  • MC Smooth. She was as experienced as 2Pac when she invited him for the good "P.Y.T. (Playa Young Thugs)". She recorded the rap albums Smooth & Legit (1990, Crush), You Been Played (1993, TNT) and Smooth (1995, TNT) before recording a more R&B/Hip-Hop oriented album Reality (1998, Perspective Records). She was a very gifted rapper, recorded good singles (like "Smooth & Legit" produced by Arabian Prince) but never achieved mainstreem success nor critical with solid albums.
  • Sh'Killa, protegé of the Sout Central Cartel, was on the first version of "Don't Make Enemies With Me" in 94. She recorded her album Gangstrez From Da Bay (1996, GWK)
  • Silk E-Fyne, Eazy-E's prtegé, she is on the original version of "Thug Luv" in 96 with Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugs N Harmony, song planned to be on One Nation. She participated in 95 to the remix "Slippin' in the Darkness" from the Funky Aztecs 92's "Salsa con Soul Food" with 2Pac. She published Raw Sylk (1998, RCA).
  • Marvaless on "Never Be Peace". From Sacramento. She is a friend of C-Bo. She recorded many solo albums like Ghetto Blues (94) with C-Bo, Wiccked (96) and Fearless (98) for the label AWOL. She also made guest appearences with the Conscious Daughters (Paris protegés), Mac Mall, Master P, among other.
  • The Lady of Rage. A great rap artist very well known for his hit "Affro Puffs". One of the best female rapper for sure. She was preparing her album Necessary Roughness (1997, Death Row) when 2Pac backed her in "Rock on (Big Bad Lady)".
  • Scarlo or Starr Loc. She's an enigma !! She has collaborated on "Um Dumpin' (Die)" in 1996... She was one time said to be also in "Ride 4 Me" but it is a girl maybe called Ego-Trip or even two sisters with the same voice... (with two verses in the song).
  • Storm of the Outlawz. On a lot of tracks with 2Pac, but she never really performed as a solo artist and disappeared after Pac's death.

Other singers :

Like we were saying in the K-Ci & Jojo part, 2Pac always loved to have a good r&b hook on a part of his songs.

  • Dave Hollister (aka Black Angel)
  • Roniece Levias : partner of Dave Hollister on "Brenda's got a baby", "Don't U Trust Me", "Things Are Changing"... She sang on a few tracks for Too $hort, Ant Banks, Raw Fusion, E-40...
  • Schoovy Schmoov (Digital Underground) : on "Do For Love" in 1991. A discret chorist.
  • Poppi : singer on "Part Time Mutha", "Changes" and "Papa'z Song". Not a big carreer...
  • Angelique on "Part Time Mutha". Unknown.
  • Val Young (aka Lady V) : singer on "Don't Call Me Bitch" in 92, "Don't Stop The Music", "Street Life", "To Live & Die in L.A.", "Nigga'z Nature", "Black Jesus" in 96... A veteran funk singer. She began as a backing chorist for the Gap Band with Charlie Wilson (who features in many tracks with Snoop Dogg). She released two solo albums : Seduction (1985, Motown) ; Private Conversation (1987, Amherst) produced by Rick James from the funk group Stone City Band.
  • Natasha Walker (Y?N-Vee)
  • Madonna on "Rather Be Ya Lover". Unknown artist...
  • G-Money on "Temptations" and the 95 version of "Do 4 Love". Not very well-known...
  • Puff Johnson : on "Me Against the World", "Rather B Ya Nigga", "U Can Call". She is an interesting singer who released her album Miracle (1996, Work), partly released by Jermaine Dupri. She toured in 1997 with Michael Jackson and the 3T.
  • Milia & Killa on "Young Niggas", "Throw Your Hands", "Thugz Mansion". Unknown.
  • Eboni Foster (from Nuttin' Nyce) : on "Can U Get Away" and "Unconditional Love". She also sang for E-40, Mac Mall, Young Lay... Her group Nuttin' Nyce released Down

4 Whateva... (1993, Jive) and Eboni published her solo Just What You Want (1998, MCA).
  • Nate Dogg (213, DPGC).
  • Nancy Fletcher on "Holla at Me", "There U Go", "Who Do U Believe", "Me & My Homies" and "When Thugz Cry". Not very known as a solo artist but she sang for many west coast
artists (Dr. Dre, K-Dee, Snoop, Arabian Prince, Dogg Pound, Kausion, The Twinz...). But she started on Big Daddy Kane's Taste of Chocolate in 1990
  • Capucine Jackson on "Fair Exchange". She was... the wife of Johnny J !!
  • Faith Evans, the wife of Biggie... On the hook in the demo version of "Wonder Why They Call U Bitch" and in "Happy Home". She released many successful albums firstly for Bad Boy. Among them the superb Faithfully (2001, Bad Boy) with a beautiful title...
  • Michel'le on "Run Tha Streets", "Wonder Why They Call U Bitch", "Play Your Cardz Right", "Time After Time". She is the wife of Suge Knight... But it is said that she was very... interested in other rappers... She released her first album Michel'le (1989, Ruthless) with Dr. Dre and the D.O.C. and her second Hung Jury (1998, Death Row).
  • Jewell on "Fade Me", the first version of "Thug In Me", the second of "Never Call U Bitch Again" and "If U Really Want it". Before singing for Death Row and being in The Chronic and in Doggystyle, she sang for Prince Akeem and for Jimmy Z in Ruthless. But her part of light was her two solo songs in Murder Was The Case (1994, Death Row), with famous "Woman to Woman". She kept on working for Death Row. But no album were out before 2007 and two albums with WIDEawake. Maybe compilations of her past work.
  • Sixx Feet Deep on "Ballad of the Dead Soulja" and "Until the End of Time".
  • Hurt M Badd (aka Tyrone Wrice from B-Rezell) on "Play Your Cards" 1st version, "Fair Exchange", "Hold Ya Head". He was also singing on "Computer Love" before Dre called Roger Troutman. With Marc McWilliams from MGM, he formed the short lived r&b duet B-Rezell. They recorded in 1994 the good "Horny" in Murder Was The Case and the super "Blowed Away" in Above The Rim. He had also produced tracks for 2Pac and for other artists like the Geto Boys.
  • Danny Boy. The main singer's name in Death Row. On "Never Call U Bith Again", "Lil Homies", Toss It Up", "Where U Been", "Too Late". He has his first solo song on Murder Was The Case in 1994, and recorded his first solo singles in 1996 with "Slip N Slide", But like other artists on Death Row, he struggled to release his album that only saw the light in... 2010 on WIDEawake, It's About Time.
  • K-Ci & Jojo (Jodeci).

Other raggamuffin men :

  • Don Jagwarr invited 2Pac on "Skank Wit U" on his album Faded (1994, Priority) - also featuring Ice Cube and produced by Brian G, Lay Law and QD3. He has also helped Eazy E, Ice Cube and MC Ren to write some tracks in 1992-1994. But before being a raggamuffin artist, he recorded an hip-hop album under the alias of Earle The Poet, For Your Listening Pleasure (1990, Emi)
  • Lady Levi : on "Heavy in The Game". She is a dancehall/reggae artist. She recorded The Legend of Lady Levi (1991, Motown), entirely produced by the legendary duo Steely & Clevie. She also has sung for Heavy D & The Boyz, Warren G, Teena Marie.
  • Rah Rah on "Outlaw", also a female ragga artist : unknown...
  • Aunt Glo on "Til My Dyin' Day". Unknown artist.
  • Prince Ital Joe.
  • Radio on the third version (and first released) of "Runnin'". He is in fact a rapper from Long Beach who recorded a good west coast album mostly produced by Moe ZMD Recognize da Real (1994, Interscope). He sometimes sing in a ragga style like in "Dem Can't Get None" in his second album in '98 where he re-used his "Runnin'" line "Look around, look around...".
  • Lil'Vicious on the original version of "Runnin'". A young gifted boy of 14, Doug E Fresh's protegé. He released his solo album Destination Brooklyn (1994, Epic) with Doug E Fresh, Shyheim, Beenie Man...
  • Daddy Marco is featured in "Mind of a Bad Boy" recorded in late 93 with Pac & Dee. He released his own album One of a Kind (1994, AirWaves).

producers :

  • Chopmaster J (Strictly Dope, Force One Network, Digital Underground)
  • Shock G  (Digital Underground, The Underground Railroad)
  • DJ Daryl (415). He produced for Richie Rich, D-Loc of 451, Marvaless, C-Bo, Luniz or Master P.
  • Pee Wee (Funky Aztecs, The Underground Railroad). He produced for Digital Underground. But as a member of the Funky Aztecs, he also produced half of their work and invited 2Pac on "Salsa con Soulfood", in Chicano Blues (1992, TNT). The song is remixed in "Slippin' into Darkness" on the next Funky Aztecs album, Day of The Dead (1995, Semaphore / Raging Bull). He also produced a whole album with Bigg Money Odis rapping as the group Gold Money : A Day In The Life Of A Player (1992, Tommy Boy). He was also part of the Dangerous Crew collective (that released albums in 1988 and 1995 - and especially produced for Too $hort).
  • Big D The Impossible (The Underground Railroad). It's disapointing when you discover that Big D didn't produce a lot of tracks out of 2Pac and some tracks for Digital Underground.
