Compilation - The Featurings (1991-1996)

This is a compilation of almost all the featurings of 2Pac. The remixes (like "Thug Luv" or "Smile") have not been included here, as well as some other "non well-published" songs ("Mind of a Bad Boy/Real Bad Boys" recorded for Bad Boys OST in 94 but published in Assassin's album in 96 ; "Can't Turn Back" recorded in 94 and only released in a Blackjack's promo B-Side in 96...). But we could have added Jon B's "Are You Still Down" that is very close to its original form.

unofficial ZYX compilation which contains material from various sources

## This is a homemade bootleg compilation which gathers most of the featurings 2Pac gave during his lifetime, which were released and were not planned to be 2Pac's album tracks. ##

DETAILED TRACKLIST

01. Same Song (Around The World Edit) feat. Digital Underground / Shock G remixed by CJ Mackintosh
02. The Dflo Shuttle feat. Digital Underground / Shock G
  • Published in Digital Underground's Sons of P (1991, Tommy Boy / TNT). Digital Underground's album was out before Pac's one, so the song is probably from early 1991.
03. #1 With A Bullet feat. Money B (Digital Underground) / Dj Fuze
  • Published in Raw Fusion's Live From The Styleetron (1991, Hollywood Basic).
The Money B / Dj Fuze album has been out the exact same day than 2Pacalypse Now. We could think that this track has been recorded a little earlier than the 2Pac's album.
04. Call It What U Want feat. Above The Law & Money B / Above The Law
  • Single from Above The Law's Black Mafia Life (1993, Ruthless). The video of the song appeared on the 2nd of february 1992. 2Pac shot out to them in his interlude "Black Starry Night" in 1992, and will plan to invite them to record for One Nation, it will only be close partner Kokane who will record "Fame" with him in August of 96 (cf. One Nation, Volume Two).
05. Salsa Con Soulfood feat. Funky Aztecs, TMD & Money B / Accrraaa J. Pavel
  • Published in Funky Aztecs Chicano Blues (1992, TNT). The Funky Aztecs (Pee-Wee of The Underground Railroad is a member of the group) was signed in the same label 2Pac recorded his two first albums with. When they recorded their second album Day of the Dead (1995), Pee Wee wanted to have 2Pac in it but he was then in prison, so he allowed them to re-use his verse for "Slippin' into Darkness".
06. Gotta Get Mine feat. MC Breed / Warren G
  • 1991/01 (?). Released in MC Breed's album The New Breed (1993, Wrap records) and then as a single. In the same album, you could also find 2Pac speaking on "Coming Real Again". This is probably the first collaboration between 2Pac & Warren G before he produced "My Definition of  a Thug", "How Long Will They Mourn Me" and "Animosity" / "Lie 2 Kick It" (cf. Original Thug Life).
07. Skank Wit U feat. Don Jagwarr / Brian G
  • 1993. Published in Don Jagwarr's album Faded recorded in 1993 (1994, Priority). Don Jagwarr will record a hook for High Til I Die around the same time (cf. Original Thug Life). But it of course Brian G who will produce one of the biggest hit of 2Pac : "Lord Knows" for Me Against The World.
08. Wassup Wit' Da Luv (Radio Edit) feat. Digital Underground / Shock G
09. Jealous Got Me Strapped feat. Spice 1 / Blackjack
10. Gangsta Team feat. South Central Cartel, Ice-T, MC Eiht & Spice 1 / Prodeje (SCC)
  • 1993/03/15. Published in South Central Cartel 'N Gatz We Truss (1994, Rush). It is the second time 2Pac and Ice-T are in the same song after "Last Wordz" with Ice Cube produced by Bobcat in Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.. And this is the only time 2Pac and MC Eiht of Compton's Most Wanted are on the same track. They were supposed to be featured in the same movie Menace II Society out in May 1993 (2Pac as Sharif, MC Eiht as A-Wax, with also Jada Pinkett, Saafir, Pooh-Man, Too $hort and Samuel L. Jackson) and also on the soundtrack (also released in May, with also Spice 1, Smooth, Da Lench Mob, Too $hort, Above The Law, Brand Nubian, Ant Banks, DJ Quik...), but 2Pac argued with the Hughes brothers who directed the movie and was fired off of it and of the soundtrack. His song "Niggaz in the Pen" was leftover (cf. Thug Life Demo) whilst MC Eiht's "Straiht Up Menace" was one of the hugest Hip-Hop act.
11. Let’s Get it on feat. Heavy D, Grand Puba, The Notorious B.I.G. & Spunk Bigga / Dj Eddie F (Heavy D & The Boyz) & Willy Gunz
  • 1994. Published in Eddie F's Let's Get It On (The Album) (1994, Motown). Pac’s voice sounds calm like on Me Against The World. It was the second time 2Pac and Grand Puba of Brand Nubian were in the same track (cf. "Deadly Venoms freestyle", Ghetto Gospel). It is probably the last combination recorded between 2Pac & Biggie.
12. We Do This feat. Too $hort, MC Breed & Father Dom / The Dangerous Crew (Pee Wee ?)
  • 1994. Published in Too $hort's Cocktails (1995, Jive).
13. P.Y.T. (Playa Young Thugz) feat. MC Smooth / Shock G
  • 1994. Published in MC Smooth's Smooth (1995, TNT). MC Smooth is a female rapper who appears in 1990 with her first album Smooth & Legit with songs produced by The Arabian Prince (the eponymous song) and by his brother Chris Stokes (who also entirely produced her second album released in 1993). She was also featured in Menace II Society soundtrack. Her third album recorded with TNT Recordings - Digital Underground's label 2Pac recorded his first albums with - contains another track produced by Shock G : "Swing It To The Left Side". So Shock G probably invited 2Pac to "P.Y.T." to promote Smooth's album. After that, Smooth changed her style and gave a more Soul oriented album : Reality.
14. Dusted 'n' Disgusted feat. E-40, Spice 1 & Mac Mall / Mike Mosley & Sam Bostic
15. Million Dollar Spot feat. E-40, B-Legit / Femi Ojetunde
  • 1996. Published in E-40's Hall of Game (1996, Jive). This is a late track recorded when 2Pac was in Death Row, maybe circa March. E-40 was planned to be a guest in One Nation.
16. 4 Tha Hustlas feat. Too $hort & MC Breed / Ant Banks
  • 1994. Published in Ant Banks' Big Thangs (1997, Priority)
17. Niggaz Done Changed feat. Richie Rich / Rick Rock
  • 1996/01-03 (?). Published in Richie Rich's Seasoned Veteran (1996, Def Jam). Richie Rich of the 451 is a regular featured artist of 2Pac, from 1992 (songs produced by his team DJ Daryl, Darrin Harris for Pac's second album, "Gaffled Like That" with the Govenor) until the end, going by Thug Life original project in 93 ("Animosity", "Lie 2 Kick It", cf. Original Thug Life), one song for Me Against The World and two for All Eyez on Me.

Other featurings :

. MC Breed - Comin' Real Again feat. 2Pac (speaking) / Warren G
  • 1993/01-03 (~). Released in MC Breed's The New Breed (1993, Wrap records). Probably after that Warren G produced songs for 2Pac's third album then titled Thug Life, among them "Definition of a Thug", "How Long Will They Mourn Me" and "Animosity" (cf. Original Thug Life).
. Lady of Rage - Big Bad Lady feat. 2Pac (speaking) & Kevin Vernado (chorus) / Daz
  • 1996/04 (~). Released in Lady of Rage's Necessary Roughness (1997, Death Row). Lady of Rage said 2Pac and her don't get on very well from the very first day he came in Death Row. That could be the reason for 2Pac replacing her in "Got My Mind Made Up" and for the disappearance of original "Blunt Tyme" (supposed to be included in Outlaw Immortalz : Thug Life Volume II). It seems it was a bad thing for Lady of Rage's state of mind. Anyway, 2Pac was probably asked to give a thing for her album but he just gave backing vocals...
. Jon B - Are You Still Down feat. 2Pac / Johnny J
  • 1996/04. Released in Jon B's Cool Relax (1997, Yab Yum Records). 2Pac gave "Tongue Kissin'"s beat to Jon B. Jon B released his first album Bonafide in 1995 with features of Bootsy Collins and Babyface.
. Scarface - Smile feat. 2Pac & Johnny P (chorus) / Mike Dean & Tone Capone
  • 1996/08 - 1997. Released in Scarface's fourth album The Untouchable (1997, Rap-A-Lot). The original song was recorded in August of 96. Scarface was supposed to be a guest in One Nation, instead of recording a new song with 2Pac, he replaced an Outlawz's verse in a song maybe initially aimed for Outlawz new LP, which originally had a Sara Smile's sample produced by Darryl Harper (cf. Ghetto Starz, One Nation, Volume Two).
. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony feat. 2Pac / DJ U-Neek
  • 1996/06 - 1997 (?). Released in Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's The Art of War (1997, Ruthless). It is said 2Pac after recording One Nation first sessions with Boot Camp Clik, Greg Nice, etc., came to Cleaveland in late June of 96 before going to Italy with Kidada Jones. The group was written as planned guest for One Nation, and the song appears once in a tracklist, as well as in one Outlawz LP tracklist (cf. Troublesome, Tha Secretz of War). But the original song was featuring only Bizzy Bone and the female rapper Sylk E-Fyne (cf. One Nation, Volume Two).
