Sylk E-Fyne & Ganksta Bytch Mentality -1995- Murderous Combination (Ruthless unreleased)

  • 1994-1995 : sessions for a first EP with Ruthless Records.
  • Sylk E-Fyne recorded two songs with 2Pac : "Breathin' (G.B.M. Version)" with her group and "Thug Luv (Original)" with Bizzy Bone. Less known member Big Chan formed the group Doggy's Angels in 2000.
  • Is the death of Eazy-E in March 26 of 1995, the only reason for the project to have been shelved ?

### - Not sure if there is any confirmed tracklists for this shelved project. We chose to not follow the eazye_ministry4life channel's one because "Gangsta Bitch Ruthless" seemed to be a kind of intro to the album, but it could be more legit than that. ###

Since 1989, Eazy-E recorded material for a follow up to his first solo album Eazy Duz It. After two EP in 1992 and 1994, Str8 off Tha Streetz of Muthaphuckkin Compton will only be released posthumously in January 30 of 1996, with a featuring of Sylk E-Fyne, what was her first official release. In fact, Eazy-E had formed the Gangsta Bitch Mentality group back in 1994. In 1988, Ruthless already published the album of the female rap group J.J. Fad, Supersonic, produced by Dr. Dre, Yella and Arabian Prince. He also signed a white girl rapper named Tairrie B., who released The Power of a Woman in 1990, with Eazy-E, Schoolly D, Everlast of House of Pain and production by QD3 ! But Gangsta Bitch Mentality (G.B.W.) was a tougher act, more the woman side of N.W.A. (Niggaz With Attitude).

Sylk E-Fyne is the most active and charismatic voice of the group. Apart of his two songs with 2Pac, she released her first single "Romeo & Juliet" in 1997 followed by her solo album Raw Sylk in 1998, published by RCA, entirely produced by Gerald Baillergeau & Victor Merritt, but with only one big guest : Too $hort featured in the opening track "Keep It Real". A second album Tha Cum Up will follow in 2000 in Rufftown with much less promotion, with only the significant "Ya Style" with Bizzy Bone and Snoop Dogg.

Diamond seems to not having been very active after these years, but she is featured with Sylk E-Fyne in a tribute album to Eazy-E in 2020 ! for the song "Ride It Out".

T-Ski gives some background vocals to "Mind Blown" in MC Ren's solo album The Villain In Black in 1996, album mainly produced by Cold 187um.

Snoop's affiliate female group with one GBM member.

Big Chan who was not featured in "Breathin" maybe left the group as soon as the project went shelved. She was a part of a new female rap group named Doggy's Angels who appear in Eastsidaz first album in 2000 and published their first album Pleezbalivit! the same year with Doggystyle Records, mainly produced by DJ Battlecat, featuring Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Eastsidaz, Kokane and Layzie Bone of the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, both primarly recording on Ruthless.
